Régis Steiner is a specialist in structuring investment and divestment operations, structuring and restructuring debt, and fund-raising.

Régis has very considerable experience in hotel, industrial, and commercial property investment. He assists and supports his clients in their merger & acquisition, structuring, and assignment operations.

A taxation and funding professional in France, Régis is also a lawyer called to the Bar of Luxembourg, enabling him to assist and support his clients in both countries.

 

Régis began his career in 2003 in the tax law department of one of the largest independent law firms in France. He then spent three years in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the banking & finance department of a very large Luxembourg law firm.

Education

Régis holds a postgraduate degree as a Business Law Corporate Lawyer (DESS de droit des affaires-DJCE obtained at the Robert Schuman University of Strasbourg), he did some of his university studies in Germany (University of Saarbrücken) before, in parallel with his French law studies, doing a Franco-German business lawyer’s specialist “magistère” degree at the University of Strasbourg. Régis is a lawyer called to the Luxembourg and Strasbourg Bars.

Professionnal career

He is also one of the authors of the French tax lax guide Lamy Fiscal (the chapters on gains and exercise of options on futures markets, on provisions, on tax reductions and on tax credits), of the corporate tax optimisation guide Lamy Optimisation Fiscale de l’Entreprise (chapter on research tax credit), of the document base Fiscalweb, now known as Webplus, and of the taxation, social, legal, and accounting journal Revue Fiduciaire (chapters on groups of companies, mergers, control/inspection, and tax litigation).

He is a former Scientific Director of the Luxembourg Fund Review (EFE) and is a regular contributor to various periodicals (Nouvelles fiscales, Quotidien de l’Expert Comptable, etc.).

Teaching

Régis regularly leads seminars on the topics of taxation and funding for various training bodies.
